So “in other news”, Oscars 2018 took place on Sunday in LA and “Shape of Water” won the award for the best film. I haven’t seen it yet but planning to go to the movies soon. Have you all seen it? Comment below and tell me
Coming to the fashion at the red carpet this Oscar, white and metallic (and red came a close third) gowns dominated the red carpet. I’m listing down below some of my most favorite looks. So, let’s begin!
Margot Robbie in Chanel: Margot was a picture of elegance in probably the only white look that I liked. On a side note, I heard she had to sew her own straps back to the gown after a little wardrobe malfunction at the Oscars.
Gal Gadot in Givenchy: Gal Gadot wore a fringe mettalic gown on the red carpet with an aquamarine Tiffany & Co. necklace.
Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior: JLaw looked smoking in this metallic number from Dior Couture and I loved the addition of dramatic cat eye. My only complain was the fit of the gown at the waist which seemed a tad tight.
Leslie Mann in Zac Posen: I have a soft corner for every red gown that exists in the world and hence, this strapless seen-so-many-times lacey red gown made it to the list too.
Lupita Nyong’o in Atelier Versace: The stunning Black Panther actress wore a bold gold sequinned custom-made gown by Versace. Definitely one of the best out there.
Meryl Streep in Christian Dior: Meryl Streep looked her classy self in a simple yet elegant red gown by Dior. Might be borring for a lot of you, but she looked great in it.
Sandra Bullock in Louis Vuitton: Another metallic gown and another winning look. Sandra Bullock looked smashing in her LV gown and those sleek hair added the perfect finishing touches.
Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein: The Irish actor did pink head-to-toe and looked delectabe in it. Loving the fact that she kept other things rather simple.
Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive: Probably the only one wearing cobalt blue on the red carpet, Nicole Kidman easily stole the show. Armani is known for making structured gowns and Nicole looked flawless in her blue strapless one.
Zendaya in Giambattista Valli: Zendaya was a breath of fresh air in this flowy one-shouldered Giambattista Valli dress. Would wear this in a heartbeat.
P.S. Need to admit I heard about this italian designer for the first time. Things we learn from Oscars! 🙂
