It is the last week of winters in most parts of India and honestly, I’m a little surprised at how quickly the transition is taking place. Looking at how the weather is playing games with us right now, I bet we are in for a very short spring time and summers won’t be far away. Sigh!
This would be the last fall look on the blog for this season and I thought of Indianizing it a bit (I really hope they add the word to the dictionary soon!). We tend to avoid layering Indian clothes in the winter season but it’s actually kind of fancy (and apt too) to wear a bit of fusion/bohemian in the chilly winter. Mixing just a few basic winter outfits with Indian or contemporary Indian pieces would do the trick.
I like wearing my flowy Indie skirts / wide-legged trousers or maxi dresses with a plain sweater or a basic jacket in winters for a relaxed and fun look!
In this look, I chose to wear this beautiful fluid maxi dress from IMEthnic. The fabric felt like second skin to me and it was the most comfortable outfit I would have worn the entire winter (not kidding!).
I take pride in the various beautiful prints that we make in India and kalamkari is one of my favourites. The print is easy to wear and looks elegant and suave at the same time. I really admire the aesthetics around which IMEthnic has made their whole collection and also the detailing of every piece of outfit.
I prefer dresses with a fit and flare silhouette and hence, it was easy to pick this one up. The asymmetrical hemming was one of the many things I loved about the kalamkari dress. I attempted to make this look a tad bohemian and a tad modern without going over the top. So I decided to pair it with a classic black biker jacket which is also quite weather appropriate right now. Any bohemian look is not complete if I skip wearing my silver jewelry with it and hence, came into picture these dainty silver choker and coin earrings from Pipa Bella. I also added a slim belt to give the whole look some more definition. My go-to pair of black pumps helped finishing out the look perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed this easy breezy winter look. As I said, this was my farewell look to winters but I would be back with a brand new Spring look on the blog soon. So stay tuned.
Until next time,
Stay stylish, stay fabulous,
