Bright in Black

When we hear the term black, we instantly think of an LBD or any outfit we want to wear to a dinner/cocktail party etc. It just doesn’t come naturally to us to wear a black dress to a brunch or a day outing, leave aside wearing them on a bright sunny day.

And hence, I was tempted to create a fuss free black outfit look which is easy on us even on a sunny summer morning. This midi dress with net details from Stalk Buy Love seemed like a perfect choice for it!

I have always been fond of dresses that fit on the waist and have a pleated bottom. This simple yet elegant black number makes for a perfect casual day choice for anyone. The net details on the sleeves and the lower part of the outfit takes the jazz up by a couple of notch.

The best part about this outfit is that you can wear them with your ballet flats or sneakers and run errands or/and accessorize them with some classy pieces when you feel like playing dress up.

In my case, I aimed for a minimal yet a tad dressed-up look and wore it with my grey and gold gladiator sandals to add a little oomph to the whole look. I also wore over sized grey studs and my favourite Wrist Wood watch with it to bring in the perfect finishing touches to the look.

Your accessories would play the key role here in deciding whether you make a fun or a dull look out of the dress. Minimal pieces add the perfect amount of jazz to the outfit which was just what I needed for this particular look.

PS: This watch is made up of Indonesian black sandal and is part of an exclusive collection by Wristwood.
