It’s time to say good bye to another year; social media is dominated by articles and statuses on new year resolutions, which I have deleted from my mind and heart for good. Some are really happy to see the year bidding them adieu while for some it brought endless joy. Nonetheless, there are takeaways from every year and more to look forward which keep you going.
I’m usually at home on New Year’s eve, celebrating over some good food and wine with my family or close friends as stepping out in the chilly evenings amid noise and crowd was never my favorite thing to do! So I thought of writing a blog tonight for you guys; irrespective of whether you would be free to read it or not (I hope you read it tomorrow as you kick start 2017, if not today!)
I wouldn’t write too much today and let this one be more of a visual blog for you.
Fall season has introduced velvet back in the fashion world and I’m certain it would have received mixed reactions from people. While most of the high street labels have velvet dominating their A/W collections, I’m not someone who is sold big on the trend. However, when I saw this red velvet outfit on Lillie by Ruthie’s Instagram feed, I was kind of tempted to try it.
Skater dresses have been my weakness from a long long time too. I decided to go for a simple and minimalist styling with the outfit. Multiple gold rings were my choice of accessories here. Black stockings and velvet heels from Charles & Keith finished out my look.
Velvet is a thick and heavy fabric and is hence, warm for the cold evenings of December! For the outer layer, my go-to black coat was my pick.
So, that was all about the red velvet look. Hope you are having a great New Year’s Eve with your closed ones and have a even more beautiful 2017! Party hard and love harder!
Until next time,
Stay stylish, Stay fabulous,
And a very Happy New Year!
