Before we could relish the spring in all its form, summers are here and I can not handle it!! Post holi, it has become scathingly hot, at least in North Delhi, and going out in the afternoon has become out of question for me. These strong heat waves may harm your health considerably and so, guys please be aware and careful! Drink a lot of fluids and keep yourself hydrated. Lemon water, cucumber, water melon etc are somethings you can include in your diet as they help your body stay cool.
Moving on to some happy things in life; let’s talk about the spring-summer fashion this year, shall we?
Some of the big trends this season that you need to try are embroidered tops and jeans, frayed hem denims, stripes, bell sleeves and ruffles! For people who loved the 90’s chokers and off shoulders trend last year, the good news is they are here to stay!
The fads, the vogues and the trends are all as dynamic as our financial market but one thing which would never go out of fashion is denims! Your wardrobe ain’t complete until you own a good denim shirt, a skirt and a well fitted denim trousers.
For this post, I decided to do a denim over denim outfit. I had this very old light blue denim sleeveless shirt from Vero Moda which I retouched a little by getting some fun patch work embroidered over it. These patch works are available at a number of places online (Koovs and Pipa Bella for instance) and some of them are iron-on patches too. You can try them on the collars of your shirts or denim pockets or sides too and remove them later when you are bored of them (or when it becomes an outdated thing out there *wink* ).
I paired the shirt with a denim button down knee-length skirt from Stalk Buy Love. When you’re doing denim on denim, it’s always better to use two contrasting colored denim outfits or if they are same colour, do add a contrast via a tan belt or something or a pop of hue via some accessory. I added a tie around tan belt from Style Fiesta and finished the whole look with a pair of red over-sized clutch and red tie up sandals which also brought a little fun and contrast to the denim overloaded outfit.
I hope you guys enjoyed the post. I know I took a long break from the blog but it wasn’t exactly a break. I have been working on a lot of blog posts and they will be on your way soon.
But until next time,
Stay stylish, Stay fabulous,
