Winter has finally arrived and though I’m already dreading about the temperature situations in Delhi over the next two months, this season brings a lot of things to cheer me up as well. From taking out my favourite boots and coats to sipping some really hot chocolate beverage and binging on those mouth-watering gajar ka halwa, Delhi winters have always been amazing. My only deepest wish is that one day, the world would declare a three month holiday during winters (okay, two months could be a good deal too?) so that I can snuggle up inside my blanket and have a good-good time. Haha.
Another amazing thing about winters is the sunshine and dawn. The light is so scintillatingly beautiful that it just changes how the world looks like to me. And while people say fall is a season for dark hues, I love sporting florals, whites and pastels too (red is an evergreen favourite as well). However, currently I’m lusting over deep wines and olives. So, I decided to welcome fall in an olive trench by Missa More. November and February are the best periods to wear trench coats in India and if you’re not a resident of Northern India, then you can wear them throughout fall.
Usually, I wear my trench over a pair of skinny denims and a basic tee. This time, I thought of wearing it as a dress. You can also layer it over another dress for those less cold weather periods. All I needed was a pair of boots to complete my look. I have already mentioned how a pair of watch and sunglasses enhance your look fabulously. I’m more of a minimalist and prefer using my watch/glasses as my accessories a lot of time. For this look, howsoever, I also added a lace choker neckpiece. Show me any vintage piece and I’m already sold; this neckpiece gave me the exact vintage vibes I needed for the look. I added a small pouf on top of my hair and wore a deep raspberry pink lip shade to finish out the look. I guess I shall be repeating a trench dress look a lot in February as well 😀
So, how did you like this particular look? Would you give it a try too? Also, tell me what are your favourite colours this fall; and outfits as well.
Until the next post,
Stay Stylish, Stay Fabulous!
