Festive October – III

To begin with, I hope you all have had a grand Diwali this year! Also, I apologize for not posting on Diwali. I have been travelling and the poor internet connectivity has been the reason for the delay in post.

Howsoever, I have somehow managed to get hold of some internet now and hence, I thought of posting it tonight even though it was meant to be a Diwali post! Hope you guys enjoy it!

Gold is such a festive color and an absolute favorite of mine. I saw this gold slit floor length tunic on Missa More few days back and knew I had to try it. The instant idea was to pair it with a similar gold palazzo or skirt but then I let it go as I have done similar montone gold pairings in the past. Instead, I thought of adding a stark solid contrast to the whole tunic (or kurta whatever you may call it). Emerald was my first choice for it as I have always found the combination of emerald green and gold pretty striking. So I opted for an emerald green skirt, a purchase from Fab Alley, to pair with the gold outfit.

The kurta/tunic has a fluid flow below waist and en embroidered upper part. Because of the very wide and unavoidable slit, I wanted to choose something striking to pair it with. The emerald green peeking out through the golden outfit made up for a perfect ensemble. To accessorize the look, I went for gold chandabalis which, again complemented the ensemble pretty well. I decided to stick to the earrings only as I always feel minimalism is way more attractive. Red lips (pure garnet from Sonam Kapoor РI have inserted the link for the same too) and nude pumps finished out my look.

This particular look could well be worn for a friend’s engagement / sangeet ceremony too. It’s very light and comfortable and still makes up for a rich festive outfit.

Do tell me how you liked the look. Also, look forward to more festive/wedding looks on the blog coming up soon.

Until next time,

Stay fabulous, stay stylish,

Tunic: Missa More, Skirt: Fab Alley, Earrings: Myntra (Old), Lip shade: Loreal Pure Garnet
