It’s been long I posted something on my blog; however, here I am finally with a brand new one and promising to catch up on all the missed ones.
Berets have been one of my favourite winter accessories (along with the newsboy hats) and I’m so glad that they have been trending worldwide this season. I love pairing them with my fall dresses and overcoats all the time; they have this Parisian vibe too, which is probably why, I’m more drawn towards them.
Besides, I have always felt that head accessories like a beanie, beret etc add so much to your entire fall look. They make me happily skip all my jewelry pieces for accessorizing. Pair your beret with your boring black over-coat and boots and you will just go fabulous from boring. A classic black and red berets are a must in my wardrobe but when I stumbled upon this pearl detailed beret hat, I was quite tempted to try it out. While I agree they are not your go-to classic beret (something you could team up with anything), they would really make for an elegant and chic look.
I opted to style my beret with a teal hued cape coat I bought from SheIn recently. It’s not a warm coat but good enough for current weather. I wore a black full sleeve blouse and jeggings to keep things neutral. Initially I had hoped to wear my black pumps with the whole outfit but I did not want it to look plain and boring. So, I went ahead and wore a pair of floral pumps to go with the coat.
Since there were already so many elements involved in the look in the form of the beret, the coat and the shoes, I decided to give accessorizing a miss. I reckon the outcome was both a mix of fun and chic! What do you think?
