I may not be a believer in fads and trends but I never shy away from experimenting or trying out new things; because hey, fashion sans experiments is not fashion at all, right?! So, when I saw tulle skirts finding their way in the western fashion scenes, I was more than excited to get my hands on one of them too.
Tulle fabric is basically fine net and you would have seen a lot catholic bridal gowns and ballet dresses being made of this material. It kind of gives a voluminous look even with the use of a couple of layers. As a kid, I always pestered my mom to buy me tulle frocks (of course, not knowing the fabric at all) so that I could satisfy my fairytale fantasies and twirl around the world with joy. And gosh, I had no idea I will be twirling in one of those outfits 15-20 years hence as well.
Tulle skirts may look a lot fancy but you can very well wear them to any of your casual outings; TIP 1: Wear a tee or a tank top with them and finish the look with your favorite pair of sneakers! Trust me, it would turn out to be one of the coolest casual outfits ever. Just make sure, you are equipped to deal with the little bit of extra volume; if you know what I mean. The material is not your usual cheap net; on the contrary, it is very soft and comfortable to wear.
I bought this one from Empress Pitara (a local boutique in Noida which sells online and mostly through their Instagram page). The best part was they were ready to customise it as per my requirements. I was too compelled to get this one in the bubblegum pink colour and hence, ordered the same. Since off-shoulders are trending crazy these days, I thought of pairing the skirt with one of this sassy black cold shoulders top that I own. I had bought this one from another online boutique called Lillie by Ruthie. They sell through their instagram page as well. I wanted to keep this particular look a lot feminine so opted for dainty jewelleries to accessorize. The midi crystal ring is from Pipa Bella and the pink crystal earrings are from Forever 21. I’m addicted to gold these days and hence, finished off my look with my favourite pair of strappy gold heels from Aldo. They jazz up the look just about perfectly.
So, that’s all from my Tulle story. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below and let me know if you have your own tulle story as well.
Until next time,
