Hope you all had a great Diwali and also stayed safe; I had been under the weather for quite a few days and couldn’t post the blogs I had scheduled for this month. Although I love the months of October & February, this is also the time the climate undergoes a transition and I’m prone to catching cold & fever. The sad part is Diwali also went by quietly and I couldn’t do much as I was sick. (Sigh!) But nonetheless, I had a good time with my family and that’s what matters the most. Anyway, I feel much better today and hence, decided to write & post a blog. Also, be sure of expecting a string of blog posts this week which I had missed posting before.
I have always found one shoulder outfits a tad tricky and hence, have very few of them in my wardrobe. Also, I reckon they are best kept for a time when you either really want to have fun outside or you want to glam it up completely. That’s my opinion and some of you might differ. But I’m very comfortable wearing a complete off-shoulder top whole day & night than adorning a one shoulder piece.
However, I just fell in love with this orange one shoulder crop-top from the brand, “Swish Boss”. It has a double layer flap kind of structure on top of it which makes it even jazzier (at least for me). Also, the orange hue was so tempting; I knew I want it in my wardrobe. I can literally wear orange & reds throughout the year.
I paired the top with a black pencil skirt from Ms. Taken. A black pencil skirt is such a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe and you can literally go AM to PM in it. To all the girls out there who do not own one, I suggest you must buy one soon. (By the way, did you guys know that Ms. Taken on Myntra is a line curated by Kriti Sanon? I came to know about it only a couple of months back and I was a little taken aback on not knowing it all this while. )
I wanted to keep the look neat and so, chose to wear a pair of dainty pearl & emerald drop earrings from Stylefiesta. My strappy black sandals from Intoto finished out the look perfectly for me.
This look is perfect for day & night alike. You might just want to switch your sandals to a more casual one for a day look and you are ready to roll. Alternately, for a more casual look, you may wear the same top with a pair of high waisted jeans & sneakers and put your hair up in a ponytail for a jazzy street style look.
Hope you enjoyed this blogpost. I promise to post at least a couple more this week, so stay tuned!
