Pearl Child

I have been lagging behind my blog posts of late and apologies for that. There have been a few things occupying me here and there but I’m all focused to slowly getting all my blog posts together and thought of starting with this dark floral look today.

Florals and flowy outifts have always been my favourites in summers but I realized I tend to reserve all my dark floral outfits for fall. Hence, the thought of creating a summer day look with a dark floral piece crossed my mind and here I am.

I don’t own a lot of emerald or dark green stuff in my wardrobe and so when I chanced upon this beautiful printed skater dress on Koovs, I immediately picked it up.

Off topic – do you guys also think the collection on Koovs has taken a hit and deteriorated a lot over the past one year or so? I used to really like them when they were launched but now find their stuff pretty repetitive and boring and hence, my shopping from Koovs has reduced drastically.

Anyhow, at first I thought I would wear this dress for a movie night out or dinner but later, I decided to make it more apt for a day wear. The idea was to create a vibrant yet elegant (sort of sophisticated) day look for summers and thus came into pictures, my favourite pearl necklace.

I accessorized the dress with an over-sized pearl necklace and added a tiny black belt for a defined waist.

I need to really take a moment to talk about my obsession with these white shoes from Zara here; never thought white shoes could look so adorable too. I agree that it might seem a herculean task maintaining them in India but hey, you gotta wear what you gotta wear *wink* (and slowly find out ways of keeping them clean too).

On another note, white shoes have been creating a lot of waves recently and I’m already eyeing myself a pair of white boots for fall.

Lemme know in comments below what you thought about this look. Apart from that, I promise to bombard you with a lot of blog posts this month, so stay tuned!

Until next time,

Stay stylish, Stay fabulous,

Reitu ♥
