So how’s the winter treating you? Temperatures have dropped suddenly after heavy snow falls in Himalayan region and most of the people in north India must be feeling the chill! But I’m glad that we are witnessing this weather since climate change has really taken a toll on winters for the last couple of years and the planet desperately needs a balanced climate throughout.
Neutral and soft hues have had huge influences on fall fashion for a long time now. Although, I’m a believer of solid-hues-rules in winters, I do like wearing blush and cream tones a lot. Today’s blog post was created with a focus on these hues.
Knife pleats have been a major trend last year and by the looks of it, they will continue their domination this year as well; and I’m not complaining at all. I bought this blush pink long pleated skirt from Stalk Buy Love few months back and decided to style it for a winter look. With soft hues in focus, I wanted to create a contrast via my outer wear. Hence, I decided to keep the main outfit monotonous and wore a similar colour tank top with the skirt. Olive green brings a beautiful contrast to the blush pink and hence, this cardigan was the apt choice for the look. I’m not a big fan of cardigans as a layer in winters but this olive toned pom-pom knitwear from Forever 21 attracted me at the first sight itself. The material is feather soft and I loved the feel of it on my skin.
Accessorizing was the key here and I opted for a dainty gold choker, my go-to diamond studs, a gold watch and pink toned sunglasses to add the perfect finishing touches. The pink hued cat-eye sunglasses are from Stylefiesta.com ; I had been on the look-out of a similar coloured glasses for long and it paired well with the whole pastel toned ensemble.
Beige pumps were my choice of shoes for the look.
So, that was all about my relaxed winter afternoon look. I hope you all liked the post; do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Until next post,
enjoy the chill,
