Hey my lovelies,
I hope you all are doing great and gearing up for the festive season. October is one of my favourite months since in India, we are transitioning into fall this time. But hello Global Warming! It’s still so hot in Delhi at the moment. I really hope we get into the autumnal weather soon. Has anyone of you felt the winters yet, in your part of the country?
Anyway, let us talk a little about today’s blogpost now. Today’s look would definitely fall in the top 5 from my street style look book. Culottes have become a staple piece in my wardrobe. Having being identified as one of the more casual outfits out there, they could easily be used to create a formal look as well. Needless to say, a versatile piece like that, has always had my heart.
So, dressing up or dressing down, I always remember to carry a pair of muted coloured culottes with me since it would be easier to pair them up with other outfits. You are most likely to spot me in a tee + culottes combination with my loafers, when I’m out running errands.
To create this look, I chose a royal blue tank top (an old one from Forever New) over a pair of tan culottes from Missa More. I like my culottes with pockets and this one came with them and also with a brown belt. I paired the outfit with my favourite striped heels so as to make it stand out a little more in public. Sticking to street style, I chose not to over accessorize and wore my watch and clear glasses to finish out the look. Also, I’m more of a cross-body or sling bag person than a tote one and hence, this navy blue one (which I had bought from a boutique in Rome) became an instant choice for the look.
Alternately, I would have paired the culottes with a ruffled white shirt and pumps along with a messenger bag to create a more formal look. See, I told you they are very versatile.
How did you like this feature? Do you want me to do more looks on street style or do you prefer a mix? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time,
