“If I ever let my head down, it will be just to admire my shoes.”
A monochrome look is classy and powerful in its own way and that is precisely why I decided to incorporate a black and white look to the #workwearwednesdays series. So let’s just dive right into it.
Pencil skirts are synonymous with everything formal but I think we can easily incorporate non fussy and solid hued A-line or shift dresses to work as well. So when I saw this black and white A-line dress with a frill bottom detail, I knew I had to buy it. The dress is perfect for desk to dinner scenes – it’s formal and chic yet fun for a casual outing!
I didn’t play around too much with the outfit as it was already a statement formal dress in my reckoning. I just went ahead and added more black touches in terms of shoes and bag with a dash of red lips to make things a tad more fun.
I also wore a white fabric belt that I have as a scarf tie around my neck. I tend to do this with a lot of plain blouses too.
Glasses are an important part of a formal attire too and I’m loving oversized glasses theses days – the ones I’m wearing here are from Vajor and are both nerdy and fun at the same time.
So that’s all for tonight but I’ll see you next Wednesday with the final lookbook in this series.
Do let me know how you liked this one though.
Until next time,
Stay stylish, Stay fabulous,
